Islaam has come to mend and unite the Hearts of the Muslims

In the name of Allaah, The Peace, The All-Wise. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family and companions. As for what follows;

The Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia, Sheikh ‘Abdul ‘Azeez aali Sheikh, may Allaah preserve him, said;

“There isn’t any course of action that increases the ties of the Muslim nation and brings it together except that the religion of Islaam has instructed towards fulifilling it whether it is in obligatory or reccommended instruction. And there isn’t any course of action that splits up the hearts of the Muslims and causes dissension between them except that the religion of Islaam has forbade and warned from it. Islaam has encouraged uprightness, joining of family ties, spreading the greetings of peace, visiting the sick, following the funerals, saying ‘may Allaah have mercy upon you’ to the one who sneezes and praises Allaah, accepting invitations and advice to the Muslims. And it has forbade disobedience to ones’ parents, severing the ties of kith and kin, mocking one another, scornery and ridiculing, backbiting, tale-carrying, defaming, cursing and the rest of the types of revilement.

However along with all of these directives that Islaam has enjoined and has been built upon, it is a must for the slave throughout this life and during his social intercourse with the people to encounter something from irritation or negligence and perhaps he may transgress upon others by statements or actions (or vice versa). With that, Islaam has come to mend and unite the hearts (of the believers), so it instructed towards rectifying that which has occured between them. And making peace and reconciliation between the Muslims is a legislated command and its’ reward is tremendous with Allaah.”
